Janey--

I certainly didn't see everything in just one visit to the shop. I'm new to the Bay Area, and part of the reason I'm doing reviews is to try to get to know shops, and to create a resource for others who are trying to find a shop.

I really appreciate your comment, and it's my hope that others who have visited shops I review will post their own reviews--good or bad--to create a better resource for cyclists who are looking for a shop that they will really love.

I haven't done a shop review in a while, but I'll get on it...I've been slacking in the useful-resource-creating department!

Thanks for your comment!

I'm not you so I can't ask you to change your score on what you saw but I found the mechanics department really really helpful. It's all about first impressions. Wrench Science didn't scoff at me because I am a girl. They didn't bat an eye about my having plenty of mechanical knowledge and wanting to fix the bike myself. The didn't judge me when I walked in.

I needed to order a part/tool specific to a bike brand they sell. They were completely respectful, friendly, non judgemental and happy to help. That is the bottom line for me. How do they look at you when you walk in. I feel like when you walk in the front door they simply greet you with their heads open.
