// Oakland’s Public Art, by Bike!

Posted on Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

From the East Bay Bicycle Coalition’s website:

“Join me for a very special ride for Different Spokes members and any other bicyclists interested in urban design and public art in the Bay Area.

We will meet at the fabulously restored Fox Theatre in the Uptown district of Oakland, a couple of blocks from the 19th Street BART station. Steven Huss, Public Art Coordinator for the City of Oakland will speak briefly about recent developments in public art and the thriving downtown art scene in Oakland.”

Sounds like fun, right? The ride is going to be about ten miles long, at a pretty easy pace. The fun happens at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 17th. So if you’re around the Bay and bored, swing by the Fox Theatre and join this ride.
